Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home having a combined gross residence earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
